menstrual health

Across the country, women are not allowed to cook or touch anyone during their period as they are considered impure and dirty. Such social stigma prevents them from talking openly about menstruation, and many girls are not taught safe, hygienic practices. This key area program creates awareness about menstrual health and hygiene amongst adolescent girls, including how to use a sanitary pad and its safe disposal. The program has busted myths about menstruation, and empowered girls to lead a healthier life.
