11 September, 2023

Metropolis Foundation organized the Adolescent Reproductive Sexual Health (ARSH) Initiative training program, a pivotal component of our flagship CSR initiative 'Too Shy to Ask (TSTA).' Held from September 11th to 14th 2023, a comprehensive training program was conducted at the Family Planning Association of India training hall, with the primary goal of training master trainers from various NGOs, who will be spearheading the project at the grassroot level.

The ARSH program is a collaborative initiative comprising nine NGOs in Maharashtra and one in Tamil Nadu. The program's collective objective is to support 15,000 direct adolescent beneficiaries in the first year, and 25,000 in the second year. Additionally, the program aims to impact 100,000 indirect adolescent beneficiaries through the duration of the project. ARSH adopts a holistic approach, seamlessly combining digital learning with practical training to ensure a comprehensive understanding of adolescent reproductive and sexual health.

Metropolis Foundation engaged agency partners to develop a comprehensive training toolkit manual to enable NGO partners to educate adolescents. The sessions facilitated valuable networking opportunities amongst trainers, reflecting the Foundation's unwavering commitment to empower adolescents towards a brighter future. The program aims to empower 600 teachers as mentors, and establish 100 girls' groups called ‘Kishori Manch’ to further education and conversations in a trusted environment, and create a larger positive impact. Collaboration with the Family Planning Association of India resulted in the establishment of a Community Adolescent Health Care Centre, impacting over 3,000 adolescents directly. Metropolis Foundation continues to champion the cause of adolescent reproductive and sexual health, striving to create a more informed and empowered generation.
