The Women's Empowerment Foundation and Metropolis Healthcare’s CSR merged to become the Metropolis Foundation in 2022.

While a major part of the funding is from the CSR funds of Metropolis Healthcare Ltd, the organisation has no exclusive partnerships and can receive funds from individual donors and other sectors and institutions.

The organisation focuses on gender and gender-related intervention and programs. It incorporates the Women’s Empowerment Foundation set by Dr. Duru Shah, who is an advocate for women and gender issues and implemented projects for the welfare of young girls and women.

One of the unique assets of Metropolis Foundation is its TSTA – “Too Shy To Ask” App, and the foundation looks forward to being associated with any agency/NGO/Institution/Government bodies and CSRs to integrate on TSTA.
