Dr. Safala Shroff, Trustee at Metropolis Foundation was one of the speakers at the Maharashtra CSR Summit that was held in Mumbai on 27th of July 2022. The Maharashtra CSR Summit organised by India CSR Network aimed to put forth the CSR agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Maharashtra state. The Summit was organised to offer a platform for political visionaries, business leaders and development sector leaders to share their ideas and vision for the development of the state. This state-level forum - Maharashtra CSR Awards and Exhibition had the largest gathering of CSR and developmental sector leaders in Maharashtra.
Dr. Safala Shroff spoke on the topic ‘Sustainable Development Goal: Good Health and Well-Being' and utilised the event platform to highlight the importance of investing in adolescent health awareness and education by Corporates, NGOs and the Government.
Dr. Shroff shared with the audience the strategic vision of Metropolis Foundation for adolescents’ health, the flagship CSR initiative ‘Too Shy to Ask App (TSTA)’ and the massive work done by the Foundation in the area of Adolescent Health. She threw light on the journey of TSTA and how it went on to become an award-winning app and India’s first and only Reproductive and Sexual Health Application. She emphasized how TSTA is a unique platform for gender and sex education and awareness for adolescents and their caregivers that could address several issues that they faced at their age.
